3rd Annual LARA Obstacle Challenge Feb 11

Join us for our fun-filled obstacle challenge. This year it will be held at Kenyon Ranch, 3026 Thunder Rd in Middleburg FL. There will be Adult and youth classes and you are welcome to enter both in-hand and riding classes. Entry fee is $20 for LARA members and $25 for non-members. If you pre-enter by Feb 9, those prices include lunch! What a deal!

2012 Altoona Trail Riders Obstacle Challenge

Dear Obstacle Challenge enthusiasts,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's time to gear-up for our 11th Annual Challenge.  Attached you will find the Entry & Release forms.  Please review (there are changes), carefully complete and return with your full payment.

One change is the Posse/Police/Pro Trainer class.  We heard your comments and suggestions and are including Professional Trainers in the Posse/Police class.  ATR's definition of a Pro Trainer is:  Anyone who has ever been paid to train a horse or a rider.  If you fall into that category, please select this class.  Thank you for your understanding in advance.

Reminder:  No substitutions means no substitutions.  For safety and insurance purposes we cannot make any exceptions.  If there is a chance you cannot ride in the Challenge, please wait to enter closer to the event or forego this year's event altogether.  Do not plan to send a friend in your place...we cannot allow it, this is a safety issue.

Pre-Registration:  As in past years, we will close at 150 entries or Wednesday, April 4, 2012, whichever occurs first.

Sponsors:  We must impose the same April 4, 2012 date on you.  Please surrender your business card and money before end of business on that date.  We must have time to prepare 150 programs so all our sponsors will be given equal exposure.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Remember:  Paddocks are on a first-requested/first-assigned basis.  We have only 15 paddocks for 150 entrants.  RV/electric spaces are limited to about 20 so if you need an electric hook-up we recommend you arrive Friday as early in the day as possible.  Parking assistance is available.  We need to park as neatly as possible to utilize all spaces.

Refunds:  Will be processed after the Challenge financial records have been reconciled.  PLEASE be sure you legibly provide the address where a refund should be mailed on your entry form.  Refunds will be issued to the person/entity who paid the entry.

A heart-felt THANK YOU to everyone who participated in or sponsored past Challenges.  We hope you will invite all your friends to come and have a great weekend at Rocking Horse Stables (www.RockingHorseHT.com) and enjoy the beauty of our 385,000 acre Ocala National Forest.
